Accessing your U:\ from home

This is a tutorial on how to access your network drive(U drive) from home.

The first step is to go to http://itstore.ou.edu and login

After logging in, click "SoonerConnect.net " under Categories .

Click "VPN Client Information & Download"

On the right hand side of the screen, you will see "Download the OU VPN Client - Windows", click that.

The next screen asks you to login. For username, type Sooner\4x4(where 4x4 is your 4x4) and your password

Next, click "Windows"

Save the file to your desktop. After it is done downloading, go ahead and install it.

After installed, go to Start => Programs =>"The University of Oklahoma OU-VPN Client" and click VPN-dialer. The following screen should appear

Make sure "Cox to OU-Norman Campus" is selected and hit connect.

After a few seconds, another login box appears. For username type Sooner\4x4(where 4x4 is your 4x4) and your password. After it is connected, a small yellow lock will appear in the bottom right of your screen(taskbar).

Now all you have to do is go to Start => Run and type in \\coa-wright\COA-SThomes\4x4 (where 4x4 is your 4x4) and hit OK.
NOTE:Faculty must use \\coa-wright\COA-FSHomes\4x4 (where 4x4 is your 4x4)

Another password box will come up. For username type Sooner\4x4(where 4x4 is your 4x4) and your password.

Your network drive should now pop up.
