OU VPN Software

The following are directions on how to download, install, and run the VPN software provided by OU.

1) Go to http://itstore.ou.edu and login with your 4x4 and password

2) On the software menu, click OU VPN

3) After the page has loaded, scroll down to the bottom and choose which version of the software you need to download. 4) After choosing the version, a new page will load. Click the begin download button. Save the file in an easy to find place, such as your desktop.

5) After the file has finished downloading, double click it. A screen like the one below will appear. Click 'Next'


6) The next screen is the license agreement for the software. If you agree with the terms, click yes and the install will continue.


7) Click 'Next'


8)This screen is asking what you want the folder to be called when you go to
Start —> Programs . Click 'Next'.


9) After the software is installed, it will ask to reboot your computer. Save and close all your open programs, and click finish.


10) After your computer has restarted, go to Start —> Programs —> The University of Oklahoma OU-VPN Client. In this folder you will have the files to run the VPN software. Click 'VPN - Dialer'


11) The program will open, and you are given a few choices. Click on the 'Cox to OU-Norman Campus' , then click connect. After about 15-20 seconds, a box will appear asking for your username and password. Put in your 4x4 and password, click 'OK' .

12) After a closed lock icon appears in your taskbar, you are connected.
